Cinco De Mayo Party.

We went to a party yesterday.
There were hand squeezed margarita's,
loads of kids,
great food,
kick-the-pinata,
and
sunshine!

This is Dozer, the English Lab.
He's so cute and up for fun.
The kids loved him.

Some action shots.

I loved that both Grace and Frankie got right in the fun with the older kids. If the older boys weren't sharing enough with Frankie, he would play his I'm-a-little-kid-and-I'll-cry-if-you-don't-share-with-me card a couple times, but for the most part he kept it together.

The cake.
It was an orange-cranberry cake with some sort of tasty butter cream...
Yum.

The house was right in an air traffic path, so giant airplanes were landing all afternoon.
Frankie was in heaven watching them.

I think I'm going to take him to Lake Hood for a picnic to watch all the little planes come and go...

Kick the Pinata was fun.

There were three different pinatas for different age groups. This one was for the little kids.
I think they were slightly confused as how the game was supposed to go.
Instead of hearing, "kick", they heard, "crush, pummel, trample at all costs!!".

Here they are "dividing" the goods.
Grace was very selective, only picking things she wanted.

Frankie was not.

He practiced a different school of thought. He was like that guy in the tube with all the dollar bills flying around, grasping at anything and throwing it into the bag.
Even the big kids noticed how much he had.

The Victor.

We had a great time. Grace found a little girl her age and they pal-ed around the whole night. They even exchanged phone numbers. She is becoming little Miss Social Planner. I think if I actually followed through with all the play dates she plans, we'd be busy until next Christmas...

Hope you had a great weekend.

This week is going to be just as busy as last week.
We have a birthday party, our last special day at preschool and (hopefully!!)...
the first boating trip of the season!!!
